Super Scented Candles by Thompson's Candle Company
The Thompson’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1997 when Angie bought a candle making kit. In the family’s kitchen, she soon developed the proprietary recipe that gives Thompson’s Candles the room filling aroma and long burn times that people adore.
Initially, she and her husband John attended craft shows and festivals selling candles directly to customers. When they expanded sales to include gift shops, growth exploded, prompting John to come on board full-time in 2001. At that time, they made the candles in their converted two car garage and shipped them from their barn.
By 2005, operations outgrew the farm. The factory and warehouse moved to Allegheny Street in downtown Huntingdon, PA where the super scented products are still made today. Expansion of warehouse space occurred in 2016 when Thompson’s Candle Co. acquired space for a distribution center in Rockhill, PA.
The Thompson’s Candle team produces superior products, which bring joy, ambience, and value to everyone who uses them. Led by John and Angie, the management team operates on the core values of honesty, integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
